The objective of this project is development of ESIA report for 15MW ON-GRID POWER PROJECT KANDAHAR, AFGHANISTAN. This ESIA includes study of existing environmental conditions in order to provide the environmental and socio-economic baseline, review of Afghan and World Bank (WB) requirements, analysis of alternatives, determination of potential impacts, conduct the first public consultation, develop and environmental and social management plan, develop a stand-alone stakeholder engagement plan, establishment GRC, and HSE. The methodology for preparing the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment is according to Afghanistan Regulation on Evaluation of Environmental and Social Impacts (Official Gazette No. 1276, dated: 9th December, 2017) and World Bank Safeguard. It start on 01 April 2018 and the duration will be 3 months.
