The objective of this project is development of ESIA report for Mazar-e-Sharif 50MW gas-to-power plant. This ESIA includes study of existing environmental conditions in order to provide the environmental and socio-economic baseline, review of Afghan and IFC requirements, analysis of alternatives, determination of potential impacts, conduct the first public consultation, develop and environmental and social management plan, develop a stand-alone stakeholder engagement plan, traffic control management plan, risk assessment plan, security management plan, hazardous materials management and safety, establishment GRC, and HSE. The methodology for preparing the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment is accordance to Environmental Regulations and Standards of Afghanistan and IFC Performance Standards. It start on 18 Mar, 2018 and the duration will be 3 months.
